A large vintage hand beaded cone shaped Yoruba Crown with intricately beaded face masks, birds and strings of beads along the rim that serve as a veil.
The crown is reserved for the Yoruba king (Oba) and worn during public ceremonies.
It is a symbol of the ruler’s power, wealth and spiritual distinction.
